A Message from our President…
Dear K’NEX friends and family,
November is a traditional time for giving thanks. And we at K'NEX have much to be thankful for this year. For the 9th year in a row (Note - I guessed on the number of years), we're preparing to choose and announce our newest K'NEXperts. Awarding these young builders is our way of thanking you for sharing K'NEX with your children and celebrating their tremendous creativity and imaginations. We know you have many choices when it comes to toys and we are truly thankful that you have chosen K'NEX.
Though the competition is stiff, rest assured that we appreciate and carefully review every K'NEXpert entry. Many of our K'NEXperts have entered multiple times, improving their building skills with each try. And whether or not your child is a K'NEXpert, we enjoy seeing all their unique creations and have made a fan photos section available on our Facebook page just for these images. So share your builder's creations with us, and check back on November 10th to meet our newest K'NEXperts.
As we enter the rush of the holiday season, I realize how lucky I am. I have a terrific family, a great job, and healthy kids. As a bonus, I get to be a part of making millions of kids smile as they open their presents this year. Of course, not every child has it so easy all the time. Sometimes, they get sick or hurt (even during the holidays). I have witnessed the tremendous strength so many kids demonstrate as they face illness or injury, and the support they get from adult medical heroes (the doctors, nurses and professionals who are working on every holiday). In the last 2 years, I have been in hospitals on Halloween and Thanksgiving, and seen first hand the miracles that happen.
This season, K'NEX has the unique privilege to support The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and I need your help. We are the only toy company that is donating 10% of all sales from K'NEX.com orders to support CHOP's pediatric cancer research. We are making these donations for the entire holiday season (Nov. 1 - December 31). CHOP is consistently ranked as the No. 1 childrens' hospital in the country, and is one of the leading pediatric hospitals and research facilities in the world. The entire K'NEX family feels lucky to assist their efforts to save young lives.
